Introducing Triangle TRACKS, a New Website for Triangle Parents

As a former magazine editor and local mom, I’ve learned a lot about children’s resources in the Triangle since my husband and I moved here in 1997. That’s why I decided to create Triangle TRACKS, a website that consolidates well over a thousand links to local resources for children in the Triangle. “T.R.A.C.K.S.” is an acronym for “Tools, Resources and Activities for Carolina KidS.” You can visit the site at

Triangle TRACKS currently links to children’s businesses and resources in Wake, Durham, Orange and Chatham counties. The site’s content focuses on education, museum exhibits, parks, youth sports, camps, music lessons, performing arts studios, party venues, amusement centers, restaurants, childcare facilities, healthcare resources, clothing stores and much more.

Visitors can subscribe to my free, monthly e-newsletter by emailing, and link to the Triangle TRACKS blog at for news and feedback from other parents.

I came up with the idea and name for Triangle TRACKS during my children’s January “track-out” break (they attend year-round school). I started thinking about how nice it would be to rely on one portal website that consolidates all of the resources for children here in the Triangle. I did this as much for my family as everyone else’s, and now I’m excited to share it with other parents.

I’ve already received several advertising requests and will publish a media kit over the summer. I hope to begin accepting ads for the website this fall, if not sooner.

Please check it out and let me know what you think!
