Welcome New Triangle TRACKS Owner and Editor, Janice Jones!

It’s my absolute pleasure to introduce Triangle TRACKS‘ members and subscribers to new owner and editor Janice Jones, who takes the reins Aug. 1.

Mother to 8-year-old Troupe and 3-year-old Mac, and wife to former NBC 17 news anchor Donald Jones, Janice began blogging for Triangle TRACKS when I launched it in Spring 2008. Because she was a meteorologist for 13-plus years, several of which were for NBC 17, Janice is very familiar with the Triangle and all it has to offer local families. She’ll continue to cover family-friendly resources and events on Triangle TRACKS, offering creative insight and tips via blog and calendar posts, videos, and photos for the Triangle TRACKS membership and newsletter subscriber list. Her zest for life is contagious, and I look forward to experiencing it through her blog posts, videos, social networking messages, newsletters and other communications.

As for me, I’ll continue to remain a member of and contributor to Triangle TRACKS. I recently took a position with Carolina Parent magazine as associate editor, responsible for two of the magazine’s sections and three of the magazine’s annual guides. I’ve also launched a new blog at CarolinaParent.com titled “Books, Bytes and Bits”. Check it out at the beginning of each month for cool giveaways and information that expands on our magazine’s theme for the month. I’ll post tidbits here as well every so often, so don’t be a stranger!
